Presenting
an artful guided tour of
San Miguel de allende, Mexico

October 27 - November 02, 2017

Join CAMIBAart for six night and five full days as we explore the beauty of San Miguel de Allende and its surrounding area on a tour that is personally curated and led by CAMIBAart c0-founder Troy Campa.

This special tour is scheduled to coincide with Mexico's famous Day of the Dead celebrations that take place throughout Mexico October 30th - November 2nd.  

This tour is created with flexibility in mind, allowing each guest to determine the speed and structure they desire, while providing access to a wide variety of experiences.

Each morning the group will enjoy art-centric excursions together. 

Each afternoon, guests are provided with curated lists of other sites and experiences in the same area of the morning excursion to consider.  Guest can choose how they'd like to spend their afternoon: 

  • Join Troy on his planned afternoon excursions and even evening dinner

  • Explore something from the curated list

  • Venture off into the city on your own

Tour Dates: October 27th - November 2nd, 2017

  • Friday October 27th is the travel/arrival day - the only official tour scheduled event this day is a welcome dinner.

  • October 28th - November 1st are tour days - four of these days there are scheduled excursions until lunch, at which time guests are free to wander off or to stay with the tour guides.  One day includes a full day of scheduled excursions outside of San Miguel de Allende.

  • Thursday November 2nd is the travel/departure day - no official tour events are scheduled for this day.

Itinerary Includes:

  • Tour of local art galleries and local artist's home studios.

  • Visit to Fabric La Aurora: a historic fabric factory turned into a collection of galleries and studios.

  • Tour of museums including Bellas Artes and Casa de Cultura Banamex.

  • Walking tours of the historic downtown area.

  • A day trip to the nearby towns of Atotonilco and Dolores Hidalgo: this trip includes stops at the cathedral of Dolores Hidalgo, cathedral of Atotonilco, a ceramic workshop and the home and showroom of a local collector of Mexican Folk Arts.

Included in the cost are:

  • Transportation from the Queretaro Mexico (QRO) to the Hotel on the arrival day of October 27th (guest arriving on any day other than the 27th are responsible for their own transportation from the airport)

  • 6 night stay at a newly remodeled hotel in the heart of the city with only at 15 minute walk to the Jardin.

  • Three meals including a welcome dinner on the 27th (all other meals are the guests responsibility)

  • Five mornings full of scheduled excursions (including entrance fees for those excursions)

  • Transportation to all morning excursions

  • Five afternoons and evenings in San Miguel de Allende where guests may continue with the guides or are free to explore the city on their own.

  • Transportation from the Hotel to the Queretaro Mexico (QRO) for return flight anytime on November 2nd (guest leaving any day other than the 2nd are responsible for their own transportation)

Tour Costs:

  • Tour costs are $1,500.00 per person for double occupancy.

  • Single occupancy costs add $400.00.

  • This tour is limited to 10 guests and requires a minimum of 6 guests signed up by August 27th, 2017 to make.

Transportation: Price does not include airfare to and from Queretaro Mexico (QRO).  Guest are responsible for their own travel arrangements to ensure arrival at the airport on October 27th and to leave the airport on November 2nd.  We are available to consult while guests make these arrangements.
