CAMIBAart is proud to present Rachel Kalisky’s second solo exhibit with the gallery.  With this showing of fused-glass artworks, she continues to explore color and form in ways uniquely hers, creating works that beg to be touched.  And we are in luck – the artist encourages touching!

Yes, please touch the glass - these alluring views are meant to be engaging – feel how some are rough and aggressive while others are smooth and sensuous.  Sometimes the interior designs of the works come to the surface to be felt, while other times, as in the portal series, they are only there to frame a view or a thought, but the texture is really out of reach.   Remember to be gentle with your touch though, because no matter how strong and tough they look, all of the artwork are still glass at their core.

In her own words:

I want to seduce viewers – draw them into the art – tempt them not just to look, but to touch, to feel its energy and emotions. To share in the excitement of what is possible within this endlessly challenging and beautiful medium.”
